reale und elektronische wirklichkeiten wurden durch den künstler gleichgeschaltet.
die video-/realwelten, bestehend aus zwei videokameras, zwei monitoren, einem eineiigen zwillingspaar und zwei texttafeln, wurden in zwei vollkommen identischen räumen installiert. je eine kamera zeichnete im jeweiligen raum einen zwilling auf und gab ihn live auf dem monitor des anderen raumes wieder. beide lasen in walter benjamins „die kunst im zeitalter ihrer technischen reproduzierbarkeit“. die biologische produktion/reproduktion im realen raum liegt der technischen produktion/reproduktion im medialen raum zugrunde.

actual and electronic realities were synchronised by the artist.
the video/real worlds, consisting of two video cameras, two monitors, a pair of identical twins and two text panels, were installed in two completely identical spaces. in each a camera recorded a twin and transmitted him live on the monitor of the other space. both read from walter benjamin’s “art in the age of mechanical reproduction”. biological production/reproduction in actual space formed the basis of technical production/reproduction in media space.
